Library materials, available at the Kanabec History Center location only, for use by the general public during regular Kanabec History Center hours, may not be removed from the Kanabec History Center building. Research costs $20.00 per hour for non-members and is currently free for members.

Essay papers, research papers, newspaper clippings and other miscellaneous reference materials are organized into the following categories:
Periodicals:
ARCHIVES Materials in the archives of the Kanabec County Historical Society are available for research purposes with staff assistance. ORAL HISTORY TAPES The Kanabec County Historical Society maintains a collection of oral history tapes of interviews conducted with Kanabec County residents on subjects of historical relevance. CEMETERY RECORDS Following cemeteries were inventoried during the summer of 1985 with records currently being updated:
Tombstone readings were correlated with other existing cemetery records. Maps are included. These records are available for use at the Kanabec History Center. They are also available for sale for $6.00 per cemetery or $50.00 for the entire set of 11. If you are interested in copies, please contact the Center at (320) 679-1665 or e-mail at Kanabec History Center. Other cemetery records are available. The records for Oakwood Cemetery in Mora are available at the Kanabec History Center - and also at Mora City Hall, 101 Lake Street South from 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Mora City Hall: 320-679-1511 Graceland Cemetery records are available at the Ogilvie City Hall, 102 N Hill Ave from 8:00 to 3:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The photograph collection consists of prints, negatives and slides arranged in the following categories:
Photocopies of all prints are available for research at the Kanabec History center. Staff assistance is required for use of the actual photograph collection.
