Thank you for your interest!

We are ALWAYS looking for more diverse Board Members

They can tell you about the requirements, responsibilities, and fiduciary duties.

After you've spoken with the Director, office staff, or another Board Member, and you've decided
you would like to peruse joining the Board, the next step is to come into the next regularly scheduled
Board Meeting. The Board will vote on making you a member, and if there is a majority vote

Our By-Laws

These By-Laws were most recently amended in March, 2020, and were officially approved for acceptance on March 12, 2020.

Kanabec County Historical Society's By-Laws were first proposed in March of 1968, and were amended five times prior to these
most recent changes. Two of these past amendments occurred in 1976 and 1980, two years prior to and two years after the creation of the
Kanabec History Center, which is operated by the Kanabec County Historical Society. The current By-Laws, approved and instated
on March 12, 2020, have been reviewed, revised, and updated for relevancy to the current generation, staff, and community;
as well as for creating room for additional protection of and opportunities for the Kanabec History Center.
