The Kanabec History Center is member owned and has been in operation at its current location since 1978. The site includes 37 acres along the Snake River with hiking trails, bike trails and picnic areas. The main building includes an exhibit hall, offices, meeting room, research library and archives.
The Kanabec History Center has county newspapers on microfilm dating from 1884, with all of the obituaries, marriage and birth announced abstracted to a card file sorted by name.
Without the Kanabec History Center the photos, artifacts and documents housed here would not exist today. Your membership preserves the past for today and tomorrow.
All membership levels enjoy and receive the quarterly newsletter, free research hours, discounts on event tickets and Old Tyme School sign-ups, and memberships are tax deductible.
You can now renew or begin a Kanabec History Center annual membership online! Make sure to include your name, address, phone number, and email.
