Grass Lake Mission Church
The Grass Lake Church is the last surviving building in the town of Grass Lake. Grass Lake was originally settled in the 1870's by Swedish immigrants and established in 1883. The Church was officially registered in 1886, and completed in 1887. That building burned in 1894 and was not rebuilt until 1898 due to the depression of the decade, and that building is the one still standing today.
The building has since been restored and renovated.
The Grass Lake Mission Church is located on 133rd Street (off of County Road 43) in Kanabec County. Its restoration and preservation is thanks in large part to the Friends of the Grass Lake Church.
We strongly recommend that you bring bug repellent with you if you visit!
The Grass Lake Church works very well for weddings! Here's a video of the Evenson wedding on June 25, 2016! Congrats to the newly weds!
